7 Days Itinerary for Srinagar Family Tour Package

Day 1: Arrive Srinagar Airport and get transfered to Hotel / Houseboat

Upon arrival, you will meet our representative and he can place you in one of the luxury houseboats for 02 nights. Afterwards, you can enjoy a relaxing Shikara ride in the peaceful Dal Lake to witness aquatic life, as well as visit the floating gardens and eye-catching canals of a luxurious Shikara.

Day 2: Srinagar to Gulmarg Via Tangmarg

After breakfast, you will be transferred from Srinagar to Gulmarg for 02 nights. Gulmarg (8700 feet or 2652 meters), known as the "Meadow of Flowers". Discovered by the sentimental Kashmiri writer in the 16th century, the place has been galvanized with lush mountain slopes protected by wildflowers. It is one of the major resorts in India. Today, Gulmarg is more than just a particularly beautiful hill station - it's also become India's premier winter ski resort. The Gondola Cable Car offers trips to the hills of the Kongdori Plateau and up to the highest point of the Apharwat Range at 14,000 feet for viewing Himalayan peaks in summer and downhill skiing in winter.

Day 3: Gulmarg Local Sightseeing and Activities

After breakfast, set off on a full day trip through Gulmarg to Lake Alpather, a beautiful lake when, even though it was mid-June, we saw an array of ice skates, Baba Reshi temple, gondola, cable car to Kongdori , Khilanmarg, skiing, St Marys Church and Maharani Temple. After the excursion through the scenic spots to visit the tourist attractions, you will stay overnight at a hotel in Gulmarg.

Day 4: Gulmarg to Pahalgam via National Highway

After breakfast, you will depart from Gulmarg to Pahalgam (valley of the shepherds) for an overnight stay at one of the perfect year-round charming and wonderful resorts. It is the base for several district walks and annual pilgrimages to the Amarnath rock reserve. It is surrounded by 12 tall snow-covered spiers. Along the way, you can visit the saffron fields of Pampore, the ruins of Awantipura (1100-year-old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantivarman) and can enjoy the exciting country life. After lunch, you can visit the pony pahalgam spots (at a request cost) Debayan, Shikargah and Baisaran. You will have an overnight stay at a hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 5: Pahalgam to Srinagar

After breakfast, you will be taken to Srinagar for a 2-night stay. In the afternoon, you can enjoy your time by taking part in individual activities such as jet skii in Dal Lake. Later, you will spend your night at the hotel in Srinagar.

Day 6: Srinagar local sightseeing

After breakfast, take a half-day tour of the famous Nishat Garden, also known as the "Garden of Pleasure", designed in the 16th century (1633) by Mughal Emperor Asif Khan, followed by visit the second impressive garden with another name as Shalimar Garden called "Garden of Sentiments" which was constructed in 16th century (1619) by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan. The gardens lie on the shores of Dal Lake with the slopes of Zabarvan as far as the eye can see. Y ou will then have an overnight stay at a hotel in Srinagar.

Day 7: Srinagar to Airport Departure

Making beautiful memories here, on this day your tour will come to end and we will be dropping you at the airport as per your flight schedule.

Dal Lake

It is among the World’s most famous lakes and is the second largest lake in Jammu and Kashmir after Walur lake in Bandipora. Chashma Shahi is one of the Natural spring-built in 1632 AD by Ali Mardan Khan, a bureaucrat of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan under the orders of the emperor, as his powerhouse. The park is located in the Zabarwan Mountain Range, an unventilated region of Raj Bhawan which overlooks Dal Lake in Srinagar.

Pari Mahal

Pari Mahal, which is known as The Palace of Fairies, is a seven-terraced park located on top of the Zabarwan mountain range. You can have a panoramic view of dal lake with the city of Srinagar. It is an example of Islamic architecture and artistic patronage during the reign of Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan.

Shankaracharya Temple

Shankaracharya Temple is also known as Jyeshteshwara temple. It is located on the top of Shankaracharya Hill on the Zabarwan mountain range in Srinagar and Jammu and Kashmir. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is located 300 meters above the valley floor and overlooks the city of Srinagar.

Dargah Hazratbal

The shrine is an Islamic shrine in Hazrat Bal, Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir. It contains a sacred souvenir, Moi-e-Muqadas, which is believed to be the hair of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Harwan Garden

Located in Harwan Village (19 km) from Srinagar is an impressive, huge and admired tourist spot. A canal, fantastically bordered with Chinar timber and blossoming flower beds, starting from a lake merely behind the garden, flows during the centre of the garden.

Hari Parbat

The castle is known as Kooh-e-Maran lies west of Dal Lake in Srinagar, within the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. This Mughal structure was constructed by Afghan Governor Atta Mohammed Khan in the 18th century. Later a long wall was built in 1590 by Emperor Akbar.
